Ulearniverse has established a partnership with ELC English Language School Malaysia, a multi-award-winning institution founded by academic experts, to launch a transformative two-week intensive programme specifically designed for aspiring artists and designers aged 16-18.
This initiative is crafted to assist high school students in developing professional portfolios that will enhance their chances of admission to prestigious universities. In addition to expert-led art and design training, students will also benefit from daily English classes, aimed at improving communication, grammar, vocabulary, and speaking skills. The partnership between Ulearniverse and ELC ensures a well-rounded, comprehensive experience, providing students with the tools to excel both creatively and academically.

She is more than just an educator; she is a practising artist dedicated to fostering the talents and interests of each student. Vivien Yap
Vivien holds a degree in fashion textiles and started her career as a fashion designer before moving into visual merchandising and later becoming a buyer for a prestigious Japanese department store. She went on to manage international brands like Gucci, Versace, and Polo. After over 15 years in retail fashion, Vivien earned a Master’s in international design and marketing.
In 2012, she returned to Malaysia to teach Art and Design. Noticing a gap in the IGCSE curriculum, she founded her own art studio in 2017, where she has since guided many students into higher education in fine arts, architecture, and fashion. Vivien also serves as a part-time visual arts examiner for the IB Diploma Programme.
Vivien joins Ulearniverse as the Lead Art Teacher for its Summer School Arts and Design Programme. Passion
ate about nurturing young talent, she encourages students to explore their creative voices and develop compelling portfolios. She aims to inspire future leaders in the arts by creating a dynamic, hands-on learning environment where students can unlock their full potential and pursue their dreams.

I was completely baffled by the type of art students do here. I never practiced such art, and I feel scared about the thought of having to do art. Moreover, I wasn’t sure about the capability of my drawing skills, since it had been a long time since I did any form of art. However, you turned that situation upside down.
